Basic Life Support (i.e., CPR)
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support. The course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.
Our Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Medical Technician courses include BLS at no additional charge. If you are not enrolled in any of our programs, you may attend our separate CLS courses. Course Fee: Initial $40 | Recertification $25
Advanced Cardiac And Pediatric Advanced Life Support | AHA
Trans-Care provides ACLS and PALS courses for both initial provider and renewal courses. These courses are designed for advanced providers caring for critically ill patients in the prehospital or in-hospital setting. An understanding of pharmacology and basic ECG interpretation is highly recommended for those participating in these courses. Course Fee: Initial $75 | Recertification $45
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
PHTLS courses improve the quality of trauma care in your area and decrease mortality. The program is based on a prehospital trauma care philosophy, stressing the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs. This may require an approach to the trauma patient that varies from traditional treatment modalities. The course promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care. It is based on the belief that, given a good fund of knowledge and key principles, EMS practitioners are capable of making reasoned decisions regarding patient care. The PHTLS course is continuously updated and revised to keep up with the advances in the field, as well as ATLS guidelines and feedback from PHTLS participants. Course Fee: Initial $100 | Refresher $50
EMS Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS)
NAEMT's EMS Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS) course addresses the knowledge gap that leads to injuries and deaths, and focuses on the specific behaviors that need to be changed to create a culture of safe driving. Drawing on the most current research about the behaviors and other hazards that lead to crashes, EVOS features case studies and analyses of both common and catastrophic collisions. EVOS challenges EMS practitioners to reconsider their preconceptions about safe vehicle operations. EVOS is appropriate for EMS practitioners at all levels, is accredited by CAPCE, and is recognized by NAEMT. Course Fee: $50
EMT/Paramedic Refresher Courses
The 24-hour EMT and 48-hour Paramedic Refresher courses provide students with the needed CE hours to maintain state and/or NREMT certification/licensure. Course Fee: EMT Refresher $50 | Paramedic Refresher $100
