Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course is an 80-hour classroom-only, instructor-led, and skills-based program that introduces students to the concepts of prehospital medicine. EMR is ideal for firefighters, police officers, industry workers, lifeguards, or any other individual who may be on the scene of an emergency before more trained EMS professionals arrive. Areas of study include:
- Basic Human Anatomy
- Airway Management
- CPR/AED Resuscitation
- Management of Medical and Traumatic Emergencies
- And More
This program is the perfect fit for someone looking for medical training who does not have the time to go through a longer and more formal EMS program. Upon successful completion of the class, eligible students will sit for the State of Indiana Emergency Medical Responder written and practical skills examinations for certification.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training Program offered by Trans-Care EMS Education goes beyond preparing you to pass the necessary examinations for certification. It is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to function as an EMT. We choose to put in more than the minimum required time for expanded coverage of important topics such as airway management, patient assessment, pediatrics, and more.
